PUCPR Philosophy Professors participate of an academic exchange in East Timor

Professors Bortolo Vale and Jelson Oliveira, from the Philosophy Graduate Program at PUCPR (PPGF-PUCPR), are in East Timor participating of an academic exchange program, signed between PPGF-PUCPR and Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL). As part of the program’s activities, PUCPR professors taught undergraduate and graduate courses at UNTL and, on February 12th, participated of an international seminar at the Embassy of Portugal, which was attended by several political and academic authorities.

The partnership between the two universities officially started in 2019, when UNTL signed a protocol of intentions with PUCPR, with the aim of consolidating qualification processes for the university’s faculty and students, through academic mobility activities and programs. However, the partnership between East Timor and PUCPR is not recent: this cooperation happened naturally, with the help of the School of Education and Humanities. In this sense, and contradicting the standard of formalization of an agreement process, the UNTL was already being represented at PUCPR main campus with two PhD Philosophy students, until being officially signed on June 28th, 2019.
