PUCPR at KSU-Florence

Palazzo Vettori

Palazzo Vettori houses the campus for PUCPR, KSU, Dankook, and Webster, a beautiful renascence-style 18th-century building situated minutes away from Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, right at the heart of the city. As a group of four prestigious universities shares the building, it is always packed by faculty and students from all over, creating a melting-pot and stimulating academic environment. Students can enrich their experience by taking courses from any of the four partner institutions.

Florence, Italy

Florence is the capital and largest city of Tuscany, Italy. With more than 380 thousand inhabitants, the city is considered the birthplace of the Italian renaissance. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992, Florence attracts millions of tourists every year from all over the world.

Florence is home to the Galleria Degli Uffizi, one of the most quintessential art museums worldwide and one of Italy’s most visited sites. You will find masterpieces by some of the most influential western artists, such as Tiziano, Caravaggio, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. It is incredible to imagine that Boticelli, da Vinci, and Michelangelo all created some of their best work while walking across from each other through the streets of Florence! The city is also the birthplace of the incredible Dante Alighieri, writer, poet, and politician considered the most significant Italian language poet. Walking around Florence allows you to travel in time; when it comes to charm and beauty, Florence exuberates its 2,000-year medieval and renaissance architecture in an attempt to preserve history, sophistication, and a vivid witness of the past.

CURITIBA, PARANÁ

Curitiba houses PUCPR headquarters, and is an exciting urban city with roughly 2 million inhabitants worldwide known for its quality of life and creative solutions for urban mobility. An excellent example is our Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, invented in the 70s and has been exported and implemented in major cities such as L.A. and Bogotá, to name just a few.  The town also holds Brazil’s ecological capital due to its more than 30 beautiful urban parks and forests. But that is not all; Curitiba is a central cultural hub, home to several museums, theaters, and venues for shows, concerts, and events. Suffice to say that Curitiba hosts and treats its visitors very well when offering a wide variety of hotels and housing options, always supported by excellent touristic services.
