PUCPR athlete wins bronze medal at Parapan Lima 2019

Victory took place in para swimming at Parapan 2019, held in Lima, Peru.

The athlete Tisbe de Souza Andrade Silva, from PUCPR, took the podium of the 2019 Parapan American Games (Parapan Lima), on August 25th, in Peru. Tisbe received the bronze medal in the para swimming, category S5 – 50m backstroke. “I am very happy. Being called to represent Brazil was already a great recognition, but taking this medal is a dream that came true”, says Tisbe.

The 21-year-old athlete has been part of the University team since 2010, as an encouragement of a therapist and family. Currently, Tisbe trains every day with the support of technical assistant Renato Belasque, graduated from PUCPR, and the guidance of physical education teacher and swimming coach of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee, Rui Menslin.
