PUCPR’s Cultural Program held in partnership with the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and the Kake Educational Institute, took place in Japan from July 1st to 16th and in Curitiba from September 4th to 16th!

The exchange program between the Kake Educational Institute, UFPR and PUCPR is part of a mutual collaboration program as a result of the Agreement between the three institutions. During the program, the ten Brazilian students participated in academic and cultural activities in one of the most traditional short-term programs offered by PUCPR.

For more than 35 years this partnership has resulted in an immersion in the Asian continent, and aims not only at learning, cultural and linguistic contact, but also at academic strengthening to promote long-term exchanges as well as joint research. In addition, during the 15-day program, the Brazilian students also had the opportunity to visit the cities of Hiroshima, Okayama, Chiba and Tokyo.

Aiming at reciprocity, a Japanese delegation comes to Brazil for this program. From September 4 to 16, Curitiba received 3 students and 1 advisor professor from Okayama University, who had the opportunity to learn more about the Brazilian language and culture. The program included Brazilian cooking classes, capoeira, travel to Foz do Iguaçu (Iguazu Falls) and Morretes, as well as other diverse cultural activities, exploring Curitiba and getting to know a totally different and fascinating culture.

We will soon announce and promote the next edition of this program.
