PUCPR Experience Language & Culture 

The PUCPR Experience Language & Culture 2019/2 program has been successfuly concluded.

The PUCPR Experience Language & Culture 2019/2 has come to an end on July 26th. This program combines Portuguese classes with many cultural activities. These classes were intended for international students who look for an introduction to our language and to the Brazilian culture.

 

During the three-week program, five students – from France and United States – had Portuguese classes with Professor Grace Thiel, Brazilian cuisine class with Professor Eloize da Cruz (Gastronomy Undergratuate Program), capoeira class with Professor Robson Duende and his beloved students, and dance class with Professor Priscila Rocha (Physical Education Undergraduate Program). Besides this cultural immersion, the students traveled to Morretes, Antonina and Lapa (Eastcoast of Paraná region), where they got to know more about Paraná and Brazil’s history, having a taste of our traditional dishes and enjoying the astonishing Brazilian fauna and flora.

 

  

Participation in this program enhances general knowledge about Brazil, further facilitating its insertion during the academic exchange. With this cultural and linguistic background, international students are prepared for the academic semester, which began this week.
